6 Unique Tulsa Wedding Venues

Hello there! We at Stapleton Photography understand one of the first stressors experienced after getting engaged is picking a date and a venue. We love to help our client’s get the most out of their entire wedding experience, so we would love to share some of our favorite Tulsa wedding venue locations! First things first. Start with a vision. What do you envision your wedding day to look like? To feel like? Picking the right venue will make all the difference in the ambiance of your wedding day and representation of your love (this works great for your engagement sessions, too)! In no particular order, here are 6 unique Tulsa wedding venues that we just adore! Tulsa has several wedding venues that are hidden gems!

Philbrook Museum of Art

Hands down, the most spectacular outdoor location in Tulsa! A former 1920’s villa and the home of Oklahoma oil pioneer Waite Phillips, the gardens were inspired by Villa Lante in Italy in 1566. The gardens have a triple-ramped, walled and gated garden with grotto and mirror pond that provide the most spectacular wedding venue in all the area! The Philbrook Museum itself has amazing rooms for the reception and a large balcony for hosting musicians and guests. We love this gem.

Vesica Piscis Chapel

Heather and I have been photographing at Vesica since it opened. We love the way Judy Odom designed Vesica to have the classical feel of a chapel while connecting to the large reception room by a long window-lit hallway. The hallway also houses the brides room on one side and the grooms room on the other. Having a venue that has everything a bride and groom could want in one location is so convenient and smart! They have brand new owners and a brand new paint job of the entire chapel that will make the whole setting so much more bright and beautiful. We are so excited about this Tulsa wedding venue!

The Springs Event Center

We love photographing at the Springs Event Center located on Skiatook Lake! It is a little further outside of Tulsa, but this wedding venue is gorgeous. It is perfectly tailored for outdoor weddings where the couple, wedding party and guests can overlook the lake as the couple exchange vows. We have captured so many gorgeous images of our couples as the sun sets over the lake. The inside can easily accommodate large weddings and receptions. The rustic wood design provides an awesome backdrop for portraits or to simply capture all the fun of the reception.

The Glass Chapel

The Glass Chapel located off 91st street in Broken Arrow has long been one of our favorite venues to photograph at! Everything is self contained here! Designed in white with a beautiful design and windows from floor to ceiling make this the brightest of any other wedding venue in the Tulsa area. The Chapel is simply spectacular! The nearby reception hall accommodates guests both inside and out on their gorgeous wood porch that is beautifully lit at night by hanging porch lights. The grounds are also amazing and so well landscaped making for some of the most spectacular wedding day bridal photographs. The Glass Chapel also has a large, fantastic  gazebo large enough to accommodate a small wedding itself.

Camp Loughridge

Camp Loughridge is right up there with our all time favorite Tulsa wedding venues to photograph at! We have literally photographed nearly 70 wedding here. We love that it has so much variety of backdrops for photographs that we can create. Whether images of the couple down by the lake amongst the trees, photos of the wedding party on the balcony of the chapel, capturing the bride and groom or the amazing images we have and can create in the beautiful A framed chapel, the view will be beautiful. We have spent hours upon hours working on lighting here to the point that we know with great certainty, no matter what light we have for that time of day, our couples are going to look amazing! The TCC, which is the main hall, can handle very large wedding parties with ease and is perfect for receptions and dancing.

The Mansion at Woodward Park

This mansion is most dear to Heather and I as it is where I proposed to her and where I later married her! We absolutely love having the opportunity to photograph at this mansion. I think we have had more wall portraits created here than at any other location. Whether engagement, bridals or weddings, we always know there is the possibility of creating an amazing work of art while photographing them at the Tulsa Garden Center, now known as The Mansion at Woodward Park. Although separate from the mansion, this venue also encompasses the Tulsa Historical Society, a beautiful venue immediately next door, The Rose garden which is perfect for outdoor weddings and parties and the Lanaeus Gardens which is a perfect location for very small weddings or elopements.
